X-Communicate Symposium 2014

Xcommunicte: EMARE (European Media Artists in Residence Exchange) Symposium provided an opportunity for people to meet, make new connections and create new collaborative partnerships. The symposium was based on the PechaKucha format — a dynamic fast-paced presentation and networking experience. Xcommunicate was a day wove creative practitioners, festival organisations, institutional directors and curators presentations together in quick five minute flash presentations relating to their work, spaces, programs and projects.

Speakers included: Alex Leslie-Murray (Chicks on Speed), Peter Zorn (EMARE), Ricardo Peach, Jen Mizuik (Banff Centre), Christy Dena, Jonathan Parsons (Experimenta), Kate Richards (Sparke Media), Vicki Sowry (ANAT), Jon McCormack (MONASH), Trish Adams, Lubi Thomas (QUT), Jacina Leong (QUT) and keynote address by Mike Stubbs (FACT).
