Tilt is a collection of kinetic elements that act as markers within the landscape. Each work responds to the omnipresent dance of air, captured in the stylised sails, and reacts to the varying flow rates of the Brook, activated by the seasonal rainfall patterns. These sculptural elements express visually the various flow rates through tilting at varying degrees, as if striding against the flow, the dance carried high into the air and the Brook’s meander as it sweeps through the landscape.

 

The overall look of the elements is inspired in design and proportions by Bulrushes, whilst the movement evokes swaying water-reeds.
