Bob comprises of 13 sets of 13m carbon fiber rods mounted vertically to neutral buoyancy floats anchored to the sea bed off the Strand seafront of Townsville.  The inherant flexibility and sensitivity of the rods transfer and amplify tidal activity, current movements from below the water line drawing this phenomenon visually into the air. Attached to the tip of the poles are LED lights that at night create trance lines of this amplified phenomena into the backdrop of the night sky. The works rationale explores our desire to notice a moment of kinetic pulse transferring from one state and location to another and our endless endeavour to capture that moment in a perceivable form.
