Soundish is a time based multimedia installation that explores the ephemeral process of change through the mechanism of the Kantian sublime. Soundish attends to those acute moments of transference, in this instance from ice to water, capturing and expressing these fleeting moments to the audience via each persons auditory & visual experience of the work. The localised cooling & slow fracturing of the body of the suspended ice form is both alluring & unnerving, equally going through an act of transition. However the scale of this transition activates compound emotions in the audience (the Kantian sublime) drawing both glee and concern as the artwork draws our attention to the every omnipresent state of change and transition.
