Parallel Universes

Parallel Universes investigates the diverse conceptual and stylistic experimentation and practice in moving image that emerged between 1970 and 1985 through the lens of three themes; performance, identity, video; media is the message; and politics of narrative.

Seminal Australian video art is exhibited alongside significant works from Japan, the UK and the USA, presenting an historical perspective on what has become an increasingly important area of contemporary arts practice.
